A beautiful and surreal scene; the remnants of Kings Park Psychiatric Center are in danger. The spaces that have been visited and documented by thousands of curious onlookers will be subjects of yet another test of time. In May of 2012 up to 15 buildings of this magnificent place will be reduced to rubble. Their history will be strained and the scenery which many reflect upon will soon become nothing more than a memory.
I hope others will contact local and state officials to at least and redirect this motion. These spaces are part of the Town of Kings Park livelihood and have more value than they are made out to have. This space has a place in not just my heart but countless others. We should not go silent in letting this go; its existence depends on us, now and in the future.
